Quicken 2017 R11 / R12 / R13 Release Notes (Critical Release) Sep 2017 This is a required update. Failure to install this update and setup your Quicken ID will result in a loss of connected services. You can now sign in with your Quicken ID. As part of our separation from Intuit you will switch from using your existing Intuit ID to using a new, Quicken ID. When you install this update you will be prompted to setup a new Quicken ID. Your new Quicken ID will be used to sign in to Quicken going forward. You may still use your Intuit ID for other Intuit products. Vault Password Change Due to our switch to a Quicken ID, we have removed the ability to protect your Password Vault with an Intuit Password. You may be required to set a new Password Vault password after installing this update. (If you already used a custom Vault password no action will be required.) Mobile Sync Updates We have replaced Intuit's Cloud Sync Service with a new Quicken Cloud Sync service. After you install this update, you will need to re-sync all your accounts. You will also have to re-upload documents using a new Document Upload Tool if you wish to see the transaction attachments on mobile. Third-party Tool Updates Fixed: Due to this change to Quicken Cloud service you will have to re-register for some features if you have used these features previously: Investing.quicken.com, Life Yield Tax Optimizer, Portfolio X-Ray. Important Notice for Quicken Online Backup customers The Quicken Online Backup service will be phased out at the end of 2017. In preparing for this shutdown the Quicken Online Backup options on the Backup window (Ctrl +B) have been removed. However, you may still continue using the service and backing up your Quicken files using the separate, Quicken Online Backup utility application through December 31, 2017.
