Quite to my amazement, a patch fixed the "help" problem in H&B 2005 too.
Still can't do search in q2008 Premier
Oddly, when I started Quicken up after R6, it came up with the "you've finished converting your data" set of screens that I got (several months ago) after updating from Q2006 to Q2008. This is Quicken 2008 Deluxe under Vista Ultimate (x64).

Hi, Dave.
Yes! It did that to me, too! :>( I'm also running Q08D and VUx64.
I let it do its thing and then there seems to be no damage. But it was quite disconcerting and I expect that many users not yet acquainted with Quicken's frequent quirks could easily panic at those startlingly unexpected screens. And their panic reactions could very well cause damage to their data files. :>(
Also, I see that R6 did NOT fix the problem with my Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000. In Quicken Reports, it still scrolls UP only, not DOWN, no matter which way I spin the wheel. :>( I still don't know if this is a Quicken problem or a Microsoft driver problem. I suspect the latter, although I've been using "the latest" IntelliPoint 6.2 drivers for several months now, and the problem was reported long ago to both Intuit and Microsoft.

matter which way I spin the wheel.
Turn your wireless mouse around 180 degrees. Problem solved.
Yes - that happened with my system as well. I paused for a second before clicking OK because I wasn't sure what it was going to do, but it went so fast that it couldn't have touched any of the main data files.
Or you you turn the monitor upside down...
Same here...
I got the same thing and just ignored it as a side effect of them fixing the help system which I believe those screens are a part of. They probably had to reset the whole help subsystem during the patch.

I just purchased a new system with Vista Home Premium 32-bit, loaded Q2007, and experienced the same UP problem with my MS wireless optical mouse. I poked around some, and ran across an article about a program called Flywheel. Lo and behold, it solved the problem! Check it out:
Hi, Jim.
Thanks for that tip. I've downloaded Flywheel and installed it. First impression is that it DOES solve the scrolling problem in my Quicken reports. We'll see how it goes in a couple of days - whether any unwelcome side effects show up in Quicken or elsewhere.
So far, so good. ;^}

After messing around with it a bit, this is the configuration that seems to work best for me:
Under Applications: ...include only qw.exe; delete all others that may be there.
...Line mode - scroll 1 line (works great in registers; slow in reports, but I tend to use the cursor keys in reports.
...Scroll the window with input focus - able to scroll register regardless of mouse location.
...Disable wheel sounds.
I'd appreciate your thoughts after you've used it awhile.
