Yes - register! (Really, was that so hard?)

See

There used to be a hack that would/might work. If you have an internet connection, the fastest (and easiest) way is to register. If you wonder about security and/or misuse of the info by Intuit, then put in bogus information ( I'll bet that George W. Bush and Mickey Mouse are the leaders). So far Intuit doesn't verify anything and there is no "activate" type messages.....

Just to remind everyone using Windows: Your browser is most likely sending some identifying information from your machine, including the name you have given it. Certainly your current IP address is sent with every packet. Since many/most people will have a dynamic IP address this might not be much information, but it is an identifier.

Personally I don't worry about those things. Every time you pay someone with a check or credit card, personal info is surrendered. Keep track of your accounts, and get a credit report whenever you can. Do tell the reporting company of any wrong info they have.

Shift+ctrl+"online update" or "1 click update" (from the pull down menu).
