Quicken version 10 find function has a terrible bug. The cursor automatically is placed in the fill-in box and if you fill it in, then you must go to the top and select a category, whereupon your entry is wiped clean. This borders on insane. This is an intolerable nuisance and most companies would have sent out a patch by now but I don't think Quicken has ever sent out a patch. Do I need to buy version 11?

The current version of Quicken is 2011 R 8. I doubt that Intuit will update earlier versions, especially to suit your taste. Note: this newsgroup is composed of other Quicken users and is not part of Intuit. You should file a problem report with Intuit.

Thank you. I will have to conclude that yes, I have to buy Q11 to get it fixed and no, they have never sent out a patch.

I'd wait until October when Q12 is out. Then decide whether you'd go for a cheap Ebay Q11 or a full, new Q12.
