Quicken "going away"?

Someone just told me in passing that Quicken is "going away".

What did he mean by that? Where can I get more information?

Thanks.

I doubt if it will ever really "go away". It has an effective monopoly on personal finance software. Most likely, it will move more and more to cloud-based with apps instead of a stand-alone program.

Quicken isn't "going away," at least not any time soon. Intuit sold Quicken to an investment company who just released the 2017 version.
