Quicken Home and Business 2007 - "Scarce Half Made Up"

(Of course, the reference is to Richard III, Act I, Scene I.)

I have been using Quicken since I have been using Windows, dating back to 3.1. Prior to that I used CPm and a checkbook.

This past weekend I purchased a copy of QH&B2007, with the intent to make a seamless transition from my QH&b2003.

I was somewhat disappointed.

It is amazing to me that the online manual will not be available until September 1, on a shrinkwrap product that is already available in stores. What were they thinking?

The update feature is buggy.

The screens are far more confusing than what a decent GUI designer would accept.

The inability to undo an action is ridiculous.

I can't tell you how happy I was when I got my first version of Quicken. It was simple and elegant.

This version is so much more accomplished but, as is the case with some gifted children, it has great difficulty communicating its genius.

I will work through it.

I would have liked some help from the online manual.

They tell me that these problems are market driven...am I not part of the market?

Just venting, you understand, this too shall pass.
