Trying to record a short sale in Quicken 2004. When I enter the sale price and commission the transaction window shows the proper net proceeds (subtracting commission from proceeds) but when the transaction is listed in the transactions list the commission is added and there is no adjustment to the cash balance.
I notice in a different account, I am offered a window that allows me to "record proceeds" which is checked yes. This account records short sales properly. How do I get "record proceeds" to show up in my problem account
