Run Quicken-like app on USB thuimb drive?

I'm in need of a Quicken like app that would run on a USB thumb drive.

Such a thing exist? Or can an old version of Q be made to do that?

I don't know the answer to your question but can only guess that if it doesn't exist now, it can't be too far away. Here's some tax-prep software on a USB, so Quicken or Money on a USB shouldn't be hard to do.

I recently asked a Quicken rep about Quicken on a USB thumb drive and I was told it wasn't going to happen right now. I was under the impression that it's not in the works, either.

The only personal finance software I know of is Personal Finances

. I had written a lukewarm review ofthe software

the developer has made some improvements, so I was just going totry Personal Finances out again to update the review...but the softwarenow only runs on U3 USB drives and I don't currently have one. S'poseI'll buy one some day soon.

Taxcut on the USB drive is a cool concept.

I had Quicken running on a USB thumb drive. It is necessary to install MojoPac on your thumb drive first.

Worked just fine.

very cool!! thanks!

what version of quicken are you running on your thumb drive tho?

QUICKEN 2006.

I should caution you, though, that running Quicken from a thumb drive is not as fast as running it from your hard drive. I don't know whether it is the speed (or lack thereof) of the thumb drive or the effect of the MojoPac environment. But you can try MojoPac for 30 days for free and see if it suits your needs.
