Anybody try to install quicken to a usb thumb drive? I would like to be able to install quicken to the usb drive so that I will be able to run quicken from any pc while on the road. If installing to the usb drive is not recommended then is there any other way to accomplish this?

Not a good idea. Too many OS and registry changes. Quicken is an application that must be installed through the OS.
If your needs are basic, you could do it with Quicken 8 for DOS. I still have that version on my system and had no problem copying to and running it from a thumb drive.

If you are running Xp Pro at home, set up your computer so you can use remote access. It's pretty easy, even behind a router. You can access it from anywhere in the world and use it like you were sitting in front of it.
The developers have created a clever method of handling apps that require files on the boot drive and changes to the registry. I have several apps running on a usb drive. All the required registry entries required by your app are made in the MojoPac environment on the usb drive. Give the free trial a try - makes no entries on your pc.
The only drawback is that with the present release of MojoPac, your apps will run only if the usb drive is plugged into a pc who is logged into someone with administrator rights. They claim next release will overcome this limitation.
