screen goes 800x640 on booting Q10

Even though I have my resolution set high 1200+, it reverts to 800 x

640 when I load Q10. I have to reset it by hand each time. This happened after I discarded an older narrow format monitor in favor of this wide screen model. I havenot found an option to set the resolution in Quicken. Any advice?

Some details are missing. Computer, monitor, operating system, RAM, CPU, all can matter. Off hand, I don't think you're using an ATARI, and that somehow you got Q set up in some compatibility mode that is screwing things up with this monitor.

It's a PC Xp Windows Emachines monitor. I probably did not get a driver disk to install the new monitor. It works fine with everything else. I have not found a tab in Q that would let me specify the resolution. Quicken Changes to low resolution by the time the first screen is up and then posts a message that the resolution is wrong and to consult the manufacturer's information and get it changed. I tried getting a driver but failed. John

I finally stumbled on the solution to booting into low resolution. If you right click Quicken on the desktop, then \Properties\Compatability you get to a screen where I found a check mark next to Run 800x600 m/l. Solution, uncheck it and it appears not to matter if you pick 256 color or not, the only other option. I have no idea how it became checked.
