Transactions prior to purchase date

I bought my copy of Quicken 2005 on May 31, 2005. Started using it as of June 1, 2005. How can enter all transactions between January 1st and May 31,

2005 without having to enter them one by one ? All files have been downloaded form my bank monthly in Excel format. Do I use the import function ? Thank you in advance.

There is no import from Excel function in Quicken. The easiest solution is if your bank supports downloading old transaction. Go online to your bank, and see if you can specify a date history for you download. Don't worry about downloading too many transactions -- Quicken will ignore the duplicates.
