Turbo Tax Versions

I have been using TT Deluxe (except for last year went to Premier) via down load. The reason I used Deluxe was because I got it free via my Vanguard a ccount. I have just been notified that Vanguard will no longer provide dis counts to its clients for TurboTax, so I am researching which level of Turb oTax I REALLY need. I am married, file joint, both retired, do not claim i temized deductions, but do have a significant number of stock transactions, receive pensions, Social Security, muni bond interest, bank account and in vestment interest. Actually pretty simple and hasn't changed for a number of years.

I have looked at the "matrix" provided by TT, which is almost useless. It seems that TT Basic will be able to handle buys/sells of stocks, since they don't list that as one of the additional Deluxe features. Is that true? The only advantages Deluxe lists is "additional help and guidance" type of things, which I DON'T need. I also don't file a state tax (live in Nevada) , so only need Federal E-file support.

Can anyone confirm that Basic would handle stock transactions via the "inte rview method" which is what I use?

Thanks for any help. I'm annoyed because I was (foolishly) expecting Vangu ard to continue their program, and I like to get an early start on my taxes , and now I have some additional research to do before I can get started.
