Does anyone know if or when the TurboTax for the current year appears or starts being sold at stores like Staples, etc.?

Usually around December.... with subsequent downloadable last-minute tax law type updates available in January/February.

A trivial matter, but the program is usually named for the year's taxes that it handles. So- watch for TurboTax 2006.
Unless you're REALLY planning ahead.
