Turbotax basic or deluxe

Hello, All!

I don't need a bunch of advice from a tax program but I do need it to accept downloaded 1099's, investment sales, dividends and the like from my Fidelity accounts. This was possible with Basic last year; anyone know about this year's version?

Thanks, Colonel Blip. E-mail: snipped-for-privacy@bigfoot.com

Like you, I don't need the extra help. But I got Deluxe because it includes the state income tax return software. That made the difference for me. You might live in a state not requiring a return, however.

I don't know if Basic downloads from brokerage accounts. Actually, I had a problem with this feature last year using Deluxe. While TurboTax rounded other figures to the nearest dollar, it didn't round downloaded figures. Since rounding by hand was a hassle, I ended up ignoring the download feature and entering everything by hand. Anybody know a way around this problem?
