I have been a long time Quicken user, but did not use TT as when I tried it, it did not handle Schedule E for our rental properties and it seemed confusing. This was a long time ago. I stuck with a tax accountant since then.
Has anyone tried TT when they have rental properties and especially depreciations? I am really interested in something that will figure out the depreciation. I would like to enter the year it entered service, the cost basis, method of depreciation, etc. and have TT tell me what the depreciation would be for this year. All of which I could then print out for IRS scrutiny when the return is sent in. TT would then have to fill in the revelant forms (Schedule E and the Deprecation one, 4 something.)
Thanks in advance! David
