Two factor security

One of my banks has apparently implemented two factor security.

How do I get Quicken to log in?

Maybe you don't.

But first, see if your bank's scheme allows for an "app password."

It's really just another password to use instead of your regular password, but it's generated by using two-factor authentication once and then stored.

Google, Apple and Microsoft all allow app passwords to get around two-factor authentication for use in programs which don't have an appropriate GUI to feed in the authentication codes.

Maybe your bank does too.

Here's how the big guys do it:

How Q connects to your bank is frequently different than how you login. Sometimes, even thru different URL's.

SO, the add'l info needed is: 1) What Q product & Year, 2) what bank?
