amend a tax return

Apr 24, 2015 4 Replies

Hello,

I need to amend my 1040 tax return that I filed recently for 2014. The only change I need to make is remove interest income earned from my kids' custodial accounts from my account which was erroneously added to my account. I know that I need to file a 1040X. My question is do I need to submit any other forms? Do I need to modify my original 1040, schedule A, B, D, etc and submit these along with with 1040X? Thank you very much.

You submit all the forms that contain changes, but don't send any others.
