Found the following at the IRS.gov web site:



"Attention: Circular 230 is Currently Unavailable Treasury Circular 230, Regulations Governing the Practice of Attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Enrolled Agents, Enrolled Actuaries, and Appraisers before the Internal Revenue Service, required technical corrections and has been temporarily removed. A revised version will be provided soon. In the meantime, we encourage you to review the Federal Register or access The Code of Federal Regulations Main Page.

Plus this following info. I'm not sure what "linked to the current version" means, or any of it, for that matter... just surprised to see such an announcement.

"Updated March 31, 2006 ? The deadline for submitting comments has been changed from April 7 to April 28, 2006; new links were added at the bottom.

"WASHINGTON ? The Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service today issued a notice proposing amendments to Treasury Department Circular 230.[...]"
