It's not a conspiracy, and you are not being treated differently than anyone else. You post from google groups, which does things a little differently than the rest of the Usenet world. For those who access newsgroups "normally" (the way they had been accessed long before google ever existed) everyone's email address is displayed in full - at least to the extent that the person has his posting software display it. Some people use phoney email addresses to avoid spam, etc.

Google groups leaves out part of the email addresses for people who read newsgroups there, but I believe you get to see your own email address in full because it's yours and they know it's you who is reading it.
