I have heard conflicting opinions on being eligible for the TY 2009 energy credits. If I buy an energy efficient Dish Washer, and install it my self - am I eligible for a tax credit?

I'm reminded of back when I was a child and dishwashers were just becoming part of main stream households, a neighbor was bragging to my mother about her brand new dishwasher, and my mother promptly replied "Well, I have three dishwashers." She was referring to her three children.
