I went to
My wages this year were somewhat above the SSA maximum of $106800. But when I filled in the W-02 form I receive this error message:
The Social Security wages (Box 3) plus Social Security tips (Box 7) you entered exactly equals the 2010 maximum taxable amount of $106,800.00. The maximum taxable amount for 2011 is $106,800.00. If you are sure the Social Security wages (Box 3) and Social Security wages (Box 7)are correct, check the box below and then select a button at the bottom of this page to continue processing this W-2.
This seems to be saying that I entered the 2010 max instead of the
2011 max, but it then admits that they are the same! What am I missing?
