I understand the final 2013 tax forms are still in preparation. When will they be officially finalized and available on the IRS web site?
Also, how do the software tax preparation programs(turbotax,etc) that are currently for sale handle changes that IRS makes to the forms after the software is already sold?

I believe most of the common forms are final by now, since filing season has officially opened and IRS is accepting returns.
Most if not all tax software has a built-in feature to connect to the vendor site and download updates over the internet. In fact, the software probably won't let you print or file a final version unless you have done so.
OK - Then I guess I can start filling out forms, altho I don't have all my various income forms yet, I do know which ones are missing.
