So much for banks taking a more cautious line on letting people apply for multiple credit cards. I've just applied and received my 21st credit card (Lloyds TSB), depsite having 20 other credit cards, all of which appear on my credit file, which when tallied up give me access to over 102K in credit. My latest card gives me another 4K. The 20th card was an American Express Nectar Card which gave me 10K limit. However, it wasn't Amex who pushed me over the 102K mark - it was MBNA/Abey National who increased my credit limit from 10K to 13.4K in one fell swoop and no questions asked. And I haven't used that card for over 12 months.
Should I go to the press? Would they be interested? Think they might, especially as I'm a cat!!! :-0
