£50 note withdrawal

OTOH I have never seen a Scottish banknote AFAIR. So you could pass me anything that has the look and feel of a banknote with "Bank of Scotland" printed on it, and I would not know whether it was genuine or not.

We have 3 banknotes. Bank of Scotland, Clydesdale Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland. All different.

You can Google them.

Because, hard though I realise this is for you to grasp, not everybody shares your misconceptions about what legal tender is.

According to the loonies in here, you should have been arrested for not paying in the correct legal tender in that restaurant....

They look exactly like the English ones, but they say Scotland instead of England. There is as much variation between different editions of an English note as between an English and a Scottish one. Do you know all the English ones?
