Terms and conditions, and the advert, for the Abbey 9-month 0% balance transfer offer specifically state they MAY CHARGE 2% for handling a balance transfer whereas WILL CHARGE 2% is used for other possible transactions. Does anyone know what this means in terms of the probability of a charge being raised for a balance transfer? (A charge even of only 2% means of course that the card is effectively not 0%.)
