Adverse Credit Bank account

Hi All

Can you please give me some advice ?

I have adverse credit due to redundancy that resulted in my current account with First Direct being "taken off me" a couple of years ago.

I have now satisfied my debts bar one (2 CCJ's and various arrangements to pay,) I have just one arrangement left to pay off, which I can do over some months.

I want a bank account again with a debit card......can I find one ?!?!

I approached a company called Turner Little who, for the princely sum of £99 referred me to the Woolwich who opened a basic account for me this morning with an Electron card and chequebook but no access to internet or telephone banking, which is something I want......maybe I am too fussy but I don't think it's too much to ask to have a debit card and internet banking with a basic account.

Does anyone know which banks, if any offer a debit card (for adverse credit i.e Electron,) and internet/phone banking. Natwest do but you cant pay bills on line...

Thanks all

Jamie

My daughter has an account which does what you want from Halifax.
