The UK economy is in a huge hole and that hole is getting deeper every day that the government continues to print money. The problem was caused buy excessive debt - government, banking and private sector debt. Taking on more debt is NOT the way out of this mess.
Something has to be done in the forthcoming budget to rebalance the books by cutting govt spending, cutting back the welfare state whilst promoting savings. It is also essential to reduce welfare dependency and make people get out to work- rather than have immigrants do the work for us.
The prognosis is pretty $h1tty irrespective of what is done but something MUST be done.
Do nothing now and we will have hyper-inflation later giving rise to huge wage demands, strikes and chaos etc. Remember the 70's ? It will be a repeat but worse.
