Its a prediction? I didnt see the programme but I'm going to hazard a guess it was along the lines of 'house prices are static or falling but here are

10 places where there is still potential for them to rise'...and whose to say they aren't correct with absolute knowledge? I certainly know two locations where houses in particular sectors (to-let for students) are still rising AFAICS (Manchester and Lincoln, before you ask). Was I right or was I right?

Thats your one example so far. More generally, if you offered *anyone* 20% off, you'd be told to take a hike, since the folks in question actually want to buy these houses, then doing that might be regarded as pointless.

I see, if they say prices are rising they are ramping the market, if they say they are static or falling'they can hardly do otherwise ' so in either case they lose? Why dont you accuse them of 'talking down the market' in the latter case?
