Commercial property SIPP advice

I have a shop which we own outright. In the summer we are going to start trading in a partnership. The business partnership will lease the shop from us.

Can I transfer the shop into a SIPP, thereby avoiding income tax on the rent payments. Are there any other tax breaks I could gain (I haven't made any pension contributions for the last couple of years)

Yes

Carry back/forward has been replaced by large lifetime contribution limits, I believe.
