company registration agent ?

Hello!

Could anyone recommend me a good company registration agent ? Would like to start my own business, and there are so many agents/companies proposing these services ... I've been told about Jordans International, but they're so expensive ...

Any advice is welcome Thanks

If you've got a company secretary then you can DIY. The information available from Companies House (CH) via the web and helpline is good

I can recommend these people from experience . I needed to use their company secretary service, so was prepared to pay more for the co. setup.

This book has been recommended before but search through the others with better recommendations as well.

Why do you think you need a company? Just start the business. There's plenty of time to add a company later if you need to.

Here's another registration agent I forgot to mention that has been recommended -

Well, first, I have no secretary. Second, I'll be away most of the time because of business, and think I'll need domiciliation service as I won't keep my flat, meaning no registered address.

Thanks for your answers

But secretaries and registered addresses are requirements of a company. If you don't have a company, then you don't need a registered address, and you don't need a secretary either. So the reasons you have given are actually reasons for *not* having a company. Therefore let me ask again, why do you need a company wrapper around your new business?

I don't think I could do business in import-export, with some asian country, if don't have a company -- specially because I'll need a bureau in some of these countries.

Because:

1) I studied economics in HK, not law in UK, and don't know if I have the required knowledge that would keep me from doing fatal mistakes during the "incorporation" phase 2) I'm too stingy to give 1000 or 1500 to a lawyer to do it for me

Sincerely
