Ditch your bank if they export call centre jobs?

Shouldn't we examine the reasons for the move rather than just lambasting them for cut cost measures?

Your logic is simply irrational. You rather have the company close down(hence, even more job losses) or suffer massive financial loses to the point that it will be inevitably taken over by another foreign company than to minimise cost so the company can stay British and save the rest of the UK work force?

How loyal is that?

Closing a branch that's under-used and opening another where its more needed sounds a sensible thing to do to me.

Most customer seem very happy to close their accounts and move to another bank as soon as they get offered a better deal. Why is it fine for customers to react in that way but not for the banks themselves?
