My son says that his company will have to change the bank because Alliance and Leicester is not able to deal with " Documents Against acceptance". Could anyone recommend a bank that is capable of supporting these instructions by the shipper and is suitable (no or reasonable banking charges) for a start-up business?

Any 'proper'bank will do this for you BUT get him to speak to a senior business manager before opening the account. It is not a service open to all account holders as there is a risk involved which the bank may or not want to get involved in.
