Hi
I'd be grateful for some people's thoughts on this.
In March I am going to Romania and in fact I will be coming and going there over most of 2011.
I'm making a film there (it's not a Hollywood blockbuster, but just me and a small camera making a documentary).
I will be wanting to access money obviously while I'm there.
When I was last there a couple of years ago I made a lot of phone-calls before I went to make sure that my credit card was going to work while I was there only to find that when I arrived the card was not working. Fortunately I had taken some cash, but I still had to get a friend to send me money by Western Union.
As I'm planning on being there quite a lot I'm thinking maybe I should set up an account with a Romanian bank and put some money there.
What other alternatives do you think might be suitable?
Romania has its own currency, the Lei, but Euros are very easily exchanged there in the cities, as is Sterling for that matter.
