Egg Transfers

As I understand it you can transfer money from your Egg card to your back account. Can someone tell me how to do it. When I go to the one-off payment section it doesn't list Egg in the "from" drop down box. An external account is set up but it seems to only allow money to be paid to Egg rather than from them although it clearly states that you can move money from Egg to an external account.

Thank you.

Is Maintenance - Egg card Transfer Balance Overdraft

what you are after?

"You can transfer any amount over 100 from your (or your additional cardholder's) overdraft provided you have sufficient credit available on your Egg Card."

Ah, so you transfer an overdraft that doesn't exsist? I'm after taking advantage of 0% on another card by using up as much as I can on Egg and then transfering that to the 0% card, well the boyfriend is.

No, I would have thought this would just be to release some cash to spend, to do so would be very expensive incurring the higher 'cash advance' interest rate - probably much higher than existing bank overdraft interest rate.

Yes, you can "transfer to an overdraft that doesn't exist" - Egg don't know the balance of your bank account

However, you/your boyfriend may be making it more complex then it needs to be.

Just tell the other card (0%) that you have a balance on Egg - and use them to pay it off - the "balance" doesn't actually have to exist (like the bank account, one card company doesn't know the balance of the other card) and then transfer the money from the Egg Card (now in Credit) to your bank account and stick it in a savings account for the 0% period

There is no need to actually spend the money...
