Euro Mortgages and the risk of exchange

Is there a view anywhere on the variaition of Euro versus GBP.

I know its a risk and no-one has a crytstal ball, but I get paid in GBP and pay a mortgage in EUR, Ive lost since October, Should it level or settle at any time in the next 6 months ? or should I panic and get a UK (re-)mortgage ?

The crystal ball is hazy, but I wouldn't bet on the £ getting stronger any time soon. Balance of payments in the can, government spending over the roof, North sea oil/gas headed ever downwards ... yep, I would buy Euros 6 months or a year ago.

Anything that is already known is reflected in the current exchange rate.

The downsides to GBP are essentially more of what we are seeing at present.

The downsides to Euro are some Euroland countries, particularly Italy pulling out of the Euro, similar problems to what we are facing in the club med countries and Ireland, and problems with some of the smaller German banks.
