Hi,
does someone know of a website giving historical info on the movement of the pound/euro exchange rate? E.g. where you can enter date A and date B and get a graph?

It doesn't produce graphs directly, but will present the data in CSV format so you can easily produce them yourself using Excel.

I notice that you are looking for the inverse rate. You may have more luck finding a EUR/GBP rate (0.7) rather than a GBP/EUR rate (1.4). The market convention in the FX market is EUR/GBP and if the UK ever joins the euro, the conversion rate would be fixed at a EUR/GBP rate. It is only retail rates (bureaux de change etc) that are ever quoted GBP/EUR.
