GE Money Credit Card

Just rang up to activate my new GE Money credit card and what a refreshing change - normally when I do this with any new or replacement card I always get the hard sell of "oh, we've noticed you haven't got payment protection insurance, would you like us to add it now?", or "how about a balance transfer at a special rate today of ...." which is never a particualry good rate or "have you considered taking a loan from us? You can borrow up to

400 million immediately - you're already pre-approved, what could be easier?". However, GE Money didn't offer(?) me anything - and why would they? All I wanted was them to activate my card.

I usually get that - they tell you it will take a few minutes to activate so why don't we run through a few of our offers in the meantime. If they have not been that friendly then I use it as a chance to be as rude as possible and then stick the phone down.

They normally only offer you up to £400 million? Shame on you. Get a job and clear your CCJs immediately.
