Pre-nuptial agreements have no legal standing in English courts. They are not 'illegal', just not enforeable. However, they may be enforcable in Latvia, so you could get a pre-nup enforced there. Under EU regulations, judgements in an another EU court must be enforced in the UK without exequator or re-litigation.

Can't see what benefit getting UK citizinship would bring her - ask any sane Brit these days and most of us want to get off this island.
