I need to get historic prices back to 1982 for HSBC Holdings for CGT purposes. Presently this stock is listed as HSBA but before 1999 they were HK based in HK dollars.
HSBC's own site only goes back to the 1990s.
Any ideas?

Price for CGT is a common query. Contact the registrar and if this fails the Company Secretaries office.
Presumably you have Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank shares, since they took over Barclays Bank in 1992.
Did they really? Heavens above, silly me, I thought it was the Midland Bank.
