As I try to be correct - I am not sure - but I believe the United States Treasury stated about 6 Years ago that the United States Treasury Rated the Gold Bullion deposits in the United States at 3 Trillion Dollars.

Just over 4 Trillion dollars, looking at historical gold prices.
The USA is said to have 8,143 tonnes of gold or about 262 million ounces. At a current price of $410 per ounce that works out at $107,402,000,000 or about $107 billion - well short of 3 trillion.
The other problem is that central banks lease or swap gold to private organisations and each other, so 25% to 50% of the stuff may not even be physically there.
