What is the financial security of this outfit?? I too have opened an account, currently out of curiosity and it seems to have gone smoothly.

They are pretty substantial in India, the UK affiliate less so (and as yet not in the compensation scheme).
According to their website, ICICI UK are a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, in the same way as most other banks that operate in the UK.

Does anyone have any experience of using their savings account? The interest rate is quite tempting.

I'm still waiting for them to finalise the opening of my savings account. It's only taken 8 weeks so far. They've got my money but I cannot access it over the web.
On my experience with them, it's not a bank that I would recommend.
Cool - when I originally signed up with them, they weren't yet in but were promising to be. I didn't think it was an issue given their size but better safe than sorry.
