IMF gold sales

"The potential profit on IMF gold sales rightfully belong to the original donor countries and their taxpayers. These IMF gold sales would amount to a hidden appropriation from the donor countries that were the original source of the gold.

Congress has an obligation to protect the taxpayers and reject any proposed IMF gold sales" (James Saxton, chairman of the Joint Economic Committee of Congress)

Hmmm, wonder when the IMF gold was last audited. Of course, if there *are* any audits, they should all occur at the same time...

I wonder when Fort Knox was last audited? I wonder how much stated gold is leased or swapped yet still on the books as "theirs".
