If I want to be exposed to the price of gold but don't want to actually buy any, what is the best way? Are there any funds that hold gold in which I can buy units?

There is n ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) called streetTRACKS Gold Shares trading on the New York Stock Exchange which tracks the spot price of gold. I would think something similar would exist in the UK. Another solution would be to own shares in Gold Mining companies.
Gold Bullion Shares (epic: GBS) is a securitised gold deposit. Tracks the price in dollars, quoted on the LSE.
