Independant Financial Advisors...

Don't know if this is the right place to ask but here goes...

How long should an IFA take to do a complete financial review of my finances, given that I have a pretty straight forward sort of life? Any ideas? Is eight months reasonable?

TIA

Eight months doesn't seem reasonaable, but if the IFA is, for example, trying to obtain detials of old pension schemes that you may be a member of, the IFA's service time is determined by the pension scheme administrators providing the necessary information. That said, eights months is an exceptionally long time.......

Matt.

Thanks for the reply.

I think it's too long as well which is why I was asking. It took him six months just to discover the administrator of one of my pensions had changed. Problem is now, can I do anything about it?

Do you need to do anything about it - did you pay a fee? If not, and if you're sure the service is shoddy, you could bin him off and go elsewhere.....

If you've committed to paying a fee and work needs doing sooner rather than later, you need to put a rocket under his arse.
