Investors Beware

I would like to warn investors about 'The Premier Diversified Property Fund'. I have had 20,000 invested with this shower for over 8 year. I have been trying to withdraw the investment for three years and I am met with a continued refusal to release my money. They keep that they don't have the money to pay out to investors without selling their properties but when they do sell property they use the money to pay off their bank loans.

Keep away from them folks.

Their website says the following and will not let you enter until you ackno wledge reading it.

Investors are not protected by statutory compensation arrangements and the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission does not vouch for the financi al soundness of the Fund or for the accuracy of any statements made or opin ions expressed about it.

Requirements which may be deemed necessary to protect retail or non-qualify ing investors do not apply to qualifying type experienced investor funds. B y signing the declaration contained in the application form, you confirm th at you are a "qualifying investor" and accept the reduced requirements, or the absence of requirements, accordingly.

don't trust the broker. The broker certainly didn't tell me that and what I do remember is telling him that I didn't want any 'high risk' investment. I just don't have that kind of money to risk so had I been told it was high risk I would have run a mile.

The broker would only need to give you that warning if they were doing execution only (and probably only if they didn't know whether you could be treated as a "seasoned investor").

If they gave you advice, your issue is with them.

The warning is associated with direct investments, which cannot be sold to the general public, except through an IFA. People with investments above a certain level are allowed to take their own risks, as the large investment is interpreted as meaning that they can tolerate losses and are familiar with the risks.
