Is it wise to keep investing in endowment policy or should i just put it on ice until it matures?

This year my endowment policy (standard life) is worth less than last year even though i'm still contributing

Whilst i'm reluctant to surrender the policy i'm equally reluctant to throw good money at it

Every time you make a payment when the values are going down, you buy more units of investment than you would if they were going up or staying the same. So when (if!?) the values go up to a level they were, say, a year ago, you will have more money. The problem is to know if and when values will return to earlier levels.

So what should you do? Dunno, but I've got an endowment and I'm still paying into it.

This would assume that the policy is not a with profits one.

I don't think anyone can give you any useful advice unless they have a time machine.
