LLoyds question

On the Lloyds charges page (

formatting link
), there is a line:

"A charge of 50p is made for each standing order transaction paid from a Service Account to any account other than those held by Lloyds TSB Bank plc and Lloyds TSB Scotland plc".

What is a Service Account?

I'd assume it was bank account with a few exceptions.

Lloyds TSB would be the best people to ask although I doubt whether the Indian's would know. Their training has only covered A & B so far.

If you follow the link just above on the left hand side marked "Non-marketed rates" there is an entry for an account called a "Service Account" it pays 0.1%, from which I'd infer its some kind of offsale current account.

Ah, OK that'll explain it - thanks for noticing that and pointing it out.

And yes, 0.08% net interest sounds very unmarketable, although I see that its exactly the same rate for the Gold Service current account. Wow, Lloyds really know how treat their customers well then!
