I've been looking at the MINT Gift Card for a potential present for someone:

However, this part of the Terms & Conditions gives me pause:"you are not permitted to use the Card for any illegal purposes, at car rental agencies, or hotels or massage parlours, or to pay for certain types of transactions including mail order (for instance magazine subscriptions), or to pay for escort services, for fuel obtained from automated fuel dispensers, or for gambling transactions"
Most of that is obvious, but what is meant by "mail order" here? Since the card explicitly *is* valid for online transactions, it seems that MINT have a different definition of "mail order" than I do. Secondly, why are magazine subscriptions specifically excluded?
