Nationwide using PGP signatures or Phishing email?

Some time ago, I received an email from Nationwide. No links, it simply told me my statement was ready online (which it was). The email contained my postcode (which nationwide include in emails to show that they are genuine). I noticed that the email was digitally signed. However, now that I have got round to downloading and installing software capable of handling PGP keys, I cannot find the public key used to sign this message.

Are nationwide now using PGP or was this a very good but rather pointless fake email?

Any opinions?

You may have a point there, but I'm not revealing anything that isn't on their website.
