So what is the solution for a reliable pension? Gordon Browns 5% raid on pension funds, the gross ineptitude of Fund Managers and the high cost of administration all result in a very poor deal. Add to that the appalling prospect of having to buy an annuity and one is left thinking that its better to keep the money under the mattress. Does anybody have any ideas?

Not to mention the goal posts moving. Am I going to be able to retire at 65?
It would seem that everyones idea is to invest in property and hope for the best.
